Want to talk to Rabbi Lerner? Come to shabbat Torah study at his home (the schedule is at www.beyttikkun.org), bring delicious vegetarian food for the pot-luck, and stay for the pot-luck sit and shmooze. This is Rabbi Lerner's most relaxed time all week. As the editor of Tikkun, chair of the Network of Spiritual Progressives, and rabbi of Beyt Tikkun Synagogue, Rabbi Lerner is stretched to the limits and cannot arrange private meetings during the week except to the extent that you can convince one of us on his staff that such meetings will directly benefit Tikkun or the NSP (we need to guard his time, because his personal inclination is to say "yes" to everyone, and then end up being stessed in ways that make it hard for his physical health).
Can't come to Berkeley but want him to come to your community? Rabbi Lerner does give lectures, speaks at colleges and universities, churches, mosques and synagogues (sometimes as "Scholar in Residence" for a weekend)--but only if he raises a substantial amount of money for Tikkun magazine or the NETWORK OF SPIRITUAL PROGRESSIVES.
